Meet Ludwig, my first 3D animated character created using the Maya software.

The character has a functioning rig and skin (I didn't know about skin weighting at this point...)

2024 - Maya
For my Aerospring project, I decide to try my hand further at the processes of rigging and modeling.

The character's rig and model were built for the ground up.

Weight Painting was explored for the first time to achieved better, smoother, and cleaner animations.

2024- Blender
Using skills gained in Maya, this is the first series of models that I created and textured within the blender engine.

These models are used across the hub and first stage of the game in addition to as part of the player character.

Stylistically, they are meant to be cartoonish and blocky to fit a comic book style aesthetic.

Topography optimization was important, learning to lower face counts depending on the use of the object was a must
